Augment The Event Ltd was established in May 2020 during the COVID-19 pandemic by Director Matthew Russell, an experienced theatre sound professional. The core focus of the company is to develop innovative tools focussed on improving the speed and accuracy of sound system installation.
Since May 2021 these products have been used on numerous theatre productions in London's West End and around the UK. in August 2022 the Tweaker, a visual aid for high frequency dispersion, was successfully Kickstarted and has since shipped to customers in the UK, US and Australia.
The Tweaker v2 - Point Source and Tweaker v2 - Line Array, released in Jan 2025 offer design improvements on the initial model.
